"Unraveling the Meaning Behind My Blog"

Since I have been studying the word of God I have remembered the call to spread the gospel .

Its my why to start this blog.

1 Peter 2:25 Once you were like sheep who wandered away But now you have turned to your shepherd the Guardian of your souls.

Jesus Christ is our example in unjust suffering our Savior was the only perfect human who ever lived. He was misunderstood, maligned, and hated, and ultimately arrested, scourged and crucified. WHAT AN EXAMPLE HE LEFT US !

HE DIDN’T sin or deceive anyone. he did not retaliate or threaten to retaliate . Look at His focus : He trusted God to judge His case fairly. His is the example we should follow throughout our day. We are in His hands.-Swindoll bible commentary.

We as Christian believers are so focused on putting more emphasis on understanding our fallen culture and its fads that on understanding and proclaiming the only message that has the power to save it.

This results in the gospel constantly being repackaged to fit what contemporary culture deems most relevant- Paul Washer ( the gospel’s power and message) he goes on to say that we have a duty to recover the one true gospel and proclaim it godly and clearly to all.

I’ll never forget hearing this from a friend of mine. Preach the gospel, die , and be forgotten.

It is something I have adopted . These words are the words I choose to live by each and every day of my life.

Why ? Because of the importance behind it. Not just words on a piece of paper but words to live by .

I’ve learned that its NEVER about me but always about Jesus.

To learn Him to know and understand what He did, what He said, how He acted, and so on . To know Jesus to have an intimate relationship with Him. You really cant have a relationship with someone you don’t know right ?

Its a different way of life . one that leads you to Jesus . One that will change your heart one that will open doors you never thought would open. A surrendered life. BUT it comes with a price.

It's a self examination of yourself. I have been working on this for years. In a  notebook I keep close to me to remind me to examine myself daily ,filled with all the ways that I can be better for Jesus. I write them down to hold myself accountable to living my life for Jesus.

Refining and reducing my options. Living low so he can go high. Especially in this self centered me world we live in.

Yeah I know , its all about our family our jobs our homes yet have we stopped to think about anything else rather than me me me ?

Why are we constantly living for this world ?

Why do  we attach ourselves to something that really is nothing ?

The world we live in teaches us all the wrong ways to live. What you should accpect and what not to accept. Where Jesus teaches us how to live even today .

A great commentator I follow Charles Spurgeon once said

The greatest fear of my life is that I am preaching every Sunday to scores of people who are going to hell and they don’t even know it. - WOW !

How can I have a relationship with someone who I cant see with my eyes. The answer is its a heart transformation . Its preparing your heart and accepting an invitation to live differently .

I'ts dying to self . learning to shift our perspective to focus on the one who saved us sinners.

We are called to be holy because He is holy 1 Peter 1:16 .

What does that even mean to “be holy” ?. Its a call to action.

It’s our duty as a Christ follower.

Holy by definition means to be set apart or separate.

We have a real enemy and he comes to steal, kill , and destroy. Scripture tells us that he prowls like a lion. He will keep you in the lowest places of your life if you let him .

Why do we choose to live in the gutters of life when there is a God who loves us and wants to show us that he is the way, truth, and life.

God will meet us where we are , no matter what !

Are you ready to accept the invitation and invite Jesus  into your heart and life today, or will you continue to live in the gutters of life ?

We have a choice to make .

Who’s ready for the real work to begin !

Lets pray !

Father,

I pray for anyone reading this that they boldly confess you as their savior and redeemer. That they open your word and study it down for themselves. Give them a passion for your word. I pray for your wisdom and discernment to be upon them. Help them to understand that your way is the only way to live. Lead them from temptation and deliver them from evil. You are the light in our darkest hour may your light shine upon them as they take the steps necessary that lead to you.

I pray for all obstacles and distractions  to be removed so that they can hear you as you direct their steps in this journey  To you all the Glory Father, may we never forget the one who saved us and may we continue to love and serve you well .

I pray in your holy name
